Sarawak Career and Training Fair (ScaT Fair)


CaT Fair serves as a one-stop centre for job opportunities, courses and training enrollment, as well as educational aids and scholarships. Aside from the 150 exhbition booths, this year’s fair will also be filled with various sidelines activities such as Employability Talk, Walk-in Interview, Youth Got Skills, Sarawak Fashion Awards and more.

Project of Dream Realized (Pro-DR) Roadshow


Jointly organised by Workforce Development Unit and TEGAS, Project of Dreams Realized (PRO-DR) aims to reach out to  more school leavers from Sri Aman to Lawas to take  the next step and register for further education or training – to help realize the state government’s aspiration of producing 40,000 skilled and semi skilled workers anually. It is the first mobile roadshow of its kind, whereby educational and financial institutions will travel together continuously from district to district.

Forum Belia TEGAS


A series of Youth Forums across the state to gather input from youths, which will be crucial in shaping government policies and the development of education, economy and social frameworks. Organised by TEGAS, in collaboration with the Workforce Development Unit of the Chief Minister’s Department; this forum aims to raise the state’s Technical  Education and Vocational Training (TVET) awarenes to a higher level and to empower youths to becoming game changers of Sarawak.

TEVT With You


Targeting the current upper secondary school students, “TEVT With You” is conducted by bringing along prominent speakers from  established TEVT institutions to schools. The aim of the programme is to enhance awareness and interest in TEVT. This is an ongoing event and it is done throughout the year.

TRIA Programme


Training and Industrial Awareness (TRIA) Programme is a promotional activity designed for the upper secondary school students to explore real life TEVT training and industrial experience.

STEM Initiative Programme


The interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematic or widely known as STEM – has been seen as a huge contributing factor for the interest in TEVT. In view of this, the public had to be made aware of the benefits of STEM education, the state’s industrialisation programmes and the expanding opportunities in technical jobs which would give them good earning power in the future. TEGAS together with 5 strategic partners namely UKM, UNIMAS, UITM, WDU and Education Department have joined forces to incorporate STEM initiatives in order to intensify efforts to produce more skilled workers to meet the anticipated demand.
